Rant about Kejriwal’s Odd Even Success

17 Jan

Delhi CM Kejriwal has imposed the odd even scheme on Delhi and has declared it as a success.  Does not matter that the said objective of reducing pollution is not conclusive.  Also, the premise of the scheme being the wrong medicine based on an IIT study is ignored.  The side effects of reduced traffic congestion is being applauded.  One of the major reasons for chest thumping is the “at-least doing something” argument.  So, every day in winter I propose to boil a small bowl of water.  This is small contribution to reducing pollution.  Remember increasing overall temperature would be a way to reduce pollution as per science.  So now, can you vote me as the next CM please for “at-least doing something please”.  I could definitely use the 400% hike in salary.

One thought that an IIT alumni would have a scientific temper – but then politics has this effect of leveling everybody to the lowest common denominator.

Kejriwal is the proof of “Power corrupts; absolute power corrupts absolutely.”

How to deal with Odd/Even madness

4 Dec

1.  Double the number of cars you own and ensure that you have an odd/even number on the cars.  RTO can make money by charging extra for the odd/even plates.
2. Buy extra parking slot for the new car.
3. Used cars rates will increase – who can bear the cost of the new car.
4. Corporates will provide two cars as perks.
5. Govt organizations can buy a hoard of cars inorder to honour the new rule and make money in this mega buy.
6.  RTO can come up with a new scheme wherein you can buy just an extra number plate for your car.  Just 1 lakh only.
7.  More hafta to be collected; do u have license – yes; do you have insurance – yes; do you have emission check – yes; do u have the correct number – no – that will be 100Rs without receipt sir.
8. People can start buying more 2 wheelers – more people can die on the roads.  Don’t more 2 wheeler riders die in accidents; atleast 2 wheelers are more risky.
9.  An ambulance with a patient at 2 in the midnight will pull on the side of the road to change vans.
10.  Buy auto instead of car.

11. Convert your car to a taxi – get a yellow plate.  That is the most realistic and cheaper solution.

Sachin Tendulkar will become a member of the Rajya Sabha

27 Apr

Sachin Tendulkar, the God of cricket is all set to become an MP, i.e., an appointed member of the RS.  I am not sure if this is a good move.  As per reports this is on behalf of Sonia Gandhi / Congress Party.  Will he alienate his followers who are supporters of the other political parties.  I wonder what is the reason for the decision; what does he gain by this.  Taking an open side very much against his public persona till recently.  Is this the man who declined many hundreds of crores of advertisement income in order to avoid alcoholic income!!!

Sachin – you owe it to us.  Tell us what made u do this?

What do you guys think about this decision?  Let me know.
