Rant about Kejriwal’s Odd Even Success

17 Jan

Delhi CM Kejriwal has imposed the odd even scheme on Delhi and has declared it as a success.  Does not matter that the said objective of reducing pollution is not conclusive.  Also, the premise of the scheme being the wrong medicine based on an IIT study is ignored.  The side effects of reduced traffic congestion is being applauded.  One of the major reasons for chest thumping is the “at-least doing something” argument.  So, every day in winter I propose to boil a small bowl of water.  This is small contribution to reducing pollution.  Remember increasing overall temperature would be a way to reduce pollution as per science.  So now, can you vote me as the next CM please for “at-least doing something please”.  I could definitely use the 400% hike in salary.

One thought that an IIT alumni would have a scientific temper – but then politics has this effect of leveling everybody to the lowest common denominator.

Kejriwal is the proof of “Power corrupts; absolute power corrupts absolutely.”

Why Sushma Why?

1 Jul

Is Lalit Modi a fugitive?  Yes.  Again may be.  Who knows the difference between blue and light-blue notice?  Who understands how exactly interpol works.  But here is what I understand.  There are cases against Lalit Modi in India.  The cases may be real or they may be foisted.  Lalit Modi will not come to India – may be he fears for his life and again may be he fears being arrested.  I do not know all these details.

But Sushma why did you have to “help” Lalit Modi when you were the foreign minister of my beloved country?  Even if Lalit Modi were Mahatma Gandhi himself I would expect the MEA to do the needful; definitely I would not expect the foreign minister to get involved.  Did you even for a moment not consider the “Ceaser’s wife” principle?

So Sushma-avare – the question is why?

What if : Arvind Kejriwal instead of Modi was on Googles #Top10Criminal list

4 Jun

Recently Google put it’s foot in the mouth by listing the democratically elected Prime Minister of the largest democracy in the world in the #Top10Criminal list.  It appears that random insinuations are sufficient to get on this list and small detail about being cleared of all charges in all courts of law don’t count.  While Prime Minister Modi shrugged of the list – as it deserved to be – here’s what would have happened if the Chief Minister of Delhi Arvind Kejriwal was on the list.

1. Dharna in front of Google office – Gheraoing the poor employees who go there to earn a measly salary.
2. Bijli / Paani cut off from Google office.
3. Police deployed to monitored the crowd berated for taking instructions from LG.
4. Encouraging the recently fired for performance Google employee to hang from the tree.
5. Midnight raid / sting operation on Google’s top execs to check what exactly they are doing inside their homes.

No wonder there is no Google office in Delhi.

This is meant to be a piece of satire – and the list above is NOT real.

Sachin Tendulkar will become a member of the Rajya Sabha

27 Apr

Sachin Tendulkar, the God of cricket is all set to become an MP, i.e., an appointed member of the RS.  I am not sure if this is a good move.  As per reports this is on behalf of Sonia Gandhi / Congress Party.  Will he alienate his followers who are supporters of the other political parties.  I wonder what is the reason for the decision; what does he gain by this.  Taking an open side very much against his public persona till recently.  Is this the man who declined many hundreds of crores of advertisement income in order to avoid alcoholic income!!!

Sachin – you owe it to us.  Tell us what made u do this?

What do you guys think about this decision?  Let me know.
