I thought that the way to fight a defamation case is to argue what one said is actually factual and hence if aggrieved person is defamed then he deserves as much.  The learned me have said the law is an ass – and it takes a Kejriwal to prove it!!!

Background:  Kejriwal’s principal secretary was raided by CBI due to corruption charges.  Our lovely Mr.K thought that the actual attack was on him/his office.  The fact that he is a anti-corruption crusader and he personally choose the said PS overriding all rules, precedent and corruption charges is an affront to himself.  Wait -as per Kejriwal – it was not actually on him – but rather to secure files regarding DDCA corruption that was being handled in his office.   How the argument changes from raid on him to a raid to obtain a specific file(s) so easily.  And so now topic changes from corruption by PS -> raid on Kejriwal -> raid on Kejriwal’s office -> DDCA files being illegally obtained -> Jaitley being corrupt.  Humph – even software engineers will not be able to read and such convoluted logic easily.  Going to IIT help’s I guess.

How to deal with Odd/Even madness

1.  Double the number of cars you own and ensure that you have an odd/even number on the cars.  RTO can make money by charging extra for the odd/even plates.
2. Buy extra parking slot for the new car.
3. Used cars rates will increase – who can bear the cost of the new car.
4. Corporates will provide two cars as perks.
5. Govt organizations can buy a hoard of cars inorder to honour the new rule and make money in this mega buy.
6.  RTO can come up with a new scheme wherein you can buy just an extra number plate for your car.  Just 1 lakh only.
7.  More hafta to be collected; do u have license – yes; do you have insurance – yes; do you have emission check – yes; do u have the correct number – no – that will be 100Rs without receipt sir.
8. People can start buying more 2 wheelers – more people can die on the roads.  Don’t more 2 wheeler riders die in accidents; atleast 2 wheelers are more risky.
9.  An ambulance with a patient at 2 in the midnight will pull on the side of the road to change vans.
10.  Buy auto instead of car.

11. Convert your car to a taxi – get a yellow plate.  That is the most realistic and cheaper solution.

31/200 can get you a medical seat

Recently there was an article in relation to the Vyapam scam wherein the daughter of senior staff of the Chief Minister’s office attempted 31/200 questions in a pre-med exam and surprise surprise got a set in a coveted medical college.  Read more here.

I have also seen similar things during my student days.  One of my senior Ms.A did not attend one exam since her grandmother passed away of that day.  The next exam she walked out after the mandatory 30 mins.  While 40/100 is the minimum required for passing; all the questions are of subjective type and it is impossible to even pen down answers worth 40 marks in 30 mins – even if you are a genius.  But Ms.A did pass this paper with 40+ marks.  There is not even an iota of doubt that the root cause of these marks did not lie in the answer sheets submitted.

This is always demeaning and deflating for a serious candidate; not to mention unfair.  Also, what kind of inept doctors/engineers do we produce with such a system.  This is not just immoral or unethical – it is outright illegal.  Think of all the people these kind of doctors / engineers will murder kill due to their shoddy work.
